Gerry Grimstone* †                       

Chairman

Gerry Grimstone was appointed to the Candover Board in July 1999.  He became Deputy Chairman in May 2004 and Chairman in May 2006.  Formerly an Assistant Secretary at HM Treasury, he latterly held a number of senior appointments in the Schroders group, including Vice Chairman of worldwide investment banking activities.  He is Chairman of Standard Life PLC.  Since May 2007 he has ceased to be a non-executive director of Dairy Crest Group plc and RAF Strike Command and Chairman of F&C Global Smaller Companies plc.  Gerry Grimstone is 58.
